Grinding & Dispersing

Controlled deagglomeration, dispersion and true grinding of solid particles in a liquid medium are the principal objectives of wet-milling technology. Particle sizes below 100 nanometres can be achieved, which other grinding techniques can often only achieve with restrictions.

DYNO-MILL ECM-AP

HIGH EFFICIENCY AGITATOR BEAD MILL: With the development of the DYNO®-MILL ECM-AP, WAB has once again proven its innovative strength.

This high-efficiency agitator bead mill is equipped with a completely new grinding bead separation system for the most difficult products to grind. One of the outstanding features of the patented separation system of the DYNO®-MILL ECM-AP series is the self-cleaning effect: It prevents screen clogging, which reduces production downtimes for screen cleaning – a considerable advantage depending on the product.

DYNO-MILL UBM

UNIVERSAL AGITATOR BEAD MILL: The new DYNO®-MILL UBM series is ideal for dispersion and ultra-fine grinding.

It processes low to high-viscosity suspensions for a wide range of applications. During development, WAB placed particular emphasis on durability, ease of maintenance and the best total cost of ownership.

The new generation of DYNO®-DISC BC agitator discs was specially developed for this series.

These feature unique Bead Channels in combination with a closed outer contour.

The bead channels ensure the efficient acceleration of the grinding beads along a precisely defined path. During operation, each of the bead channels creates two efficient grinding circuits between the agitator discs that work in opposite directions.

DYNO-MILL KD

With the DYNO®-MILL KD, WAB launched the first horizontal agitator bead mill on the market.

The original agitator bead mills from WAB are true all-rounders. This type of machine has been used for decades in practically all applications. The consistently growing range of materials, the material quality, and the adaptation of these models as needed to highly specialized customer requirements make this type of mill the first choice in many applications today.

The DYNO®-MILL KD disc mills are available with grinding chamber volumes from 0.15 to 600 litres and are suitable for practically all types of grinding media. The production mills can be operated with grinding bead diameters from 0.5 to 2.5 mm.

In the horizontal grinding chamber, the specially designed DYNO® agitator discs are mounted symmetrically on the agitator shaft. They transfer the kinetic energy required for the grinding operation to the grinding beads.

With the correct process parameters, these disc mills achieve outstanding grinding results still today, especially in pass mode operation.

The specific design of the individual machine models depends on the grinding chamber volume. The models DYNO®-MILL KD 20 to DYNO®-MILL KD 60 are optionally available with a dynamic gap separator or a screen separation system.
